The Minor Arcana of the Marseille Tarot consist of 56 cards, divided into 4 suits (WANDS, COINS, CUPS, SWORDS). Each suit consists of 14 cards and vary from 1 or Ace to 10, Page, Knight, Queen, and King. They are very similar to the Spanish, Italian, and French decks. Let’s see what each suit represents:
Many occultists compare them to the 4 paths or ways of the Kabbalah. Their meaning is very specific and they are often used as a complement to a Major Arcana spread, to provide more details and expand on the meanings given by the Major Arcana.
The court cards represent very well-defined characters.
They reflect their character, personality, appearance, and profession, among others:
